Is it possible to lose 10 pounds in just a matter of two weeks?
The simple answer to this question is “YES.” It may sound impossible, but I’m here to tell you it isn’t. And here’s more—it’s not as hard as you might think. How do I know this? Well, I am living proof of this possibility.
In this post, I’d like to share my journey of how I shed 10 pounds in just two weeks, along with the tips and lessons I learned.
My Weight Loss Struggle
I wasn’t always overweight.
In fact, I was known as the “underweight one” in school, from primary school through my junior year in college. I thought I could eat anything and everything without gaining weight, and for the most part, I did.
I had no restrictions when it came to food, and weight issues were the furthest thing from my mind.
But somewhere along the way, things changed. It wasn’t an overnight transformation, but one day I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize the person staring back at me. I felt bloated, sluggish, and unhappy.
The weight I had gained wasn’t just physical, it weighed heavily on my self-esteem and energy levels.
My Turning Point
The wake-up call came during my college yearbook pictorial. The photos showed me looking heavier than I had ever seen myself. I was shocked and embarrassed, but I couldn’t retake them in time.
That moment lit a spark in me, and I became determined to shed the extra pounds.
After graduation, I started a simple fruit-cleansing diet and daily walks. This worked for a while—I felt like my old self again.
But when I started my first job and began enjoying life with a “work hard, eat harder” mindset, the weight came back quickly. Soon enough, I was staring at the same unrecognizable person in the mirror.
The Will to Succeed & Herbal Life
They say, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way,” and I clung to that belief. This time, failure wasn’t an option. I tried several diets and weight-loss programs, including Herbal Life.
Finding a dealer was quite easy because Herbal Life was gaining popularity in the market, even though it was a bit pricey.
Every two weeks, my dealer would visit not only to deliver my supplies but also to check on my progress. She would always tell me that I was looking better with each visit and encouraged me to stick to the program until I reached my goal.
I would smile and politely say, “Thank you,” but deep down, I knew it wasn’t working. Despite the scale showing a modest loss of 1-2 pounds after a month on the program, I still looked the same to myself.
After spending a considerable amount of money on the products, I realized I wasn’t satisfied. The results weren’t what I had expected or hoped for. I know this product has worked well for some people, and perhaps it could work for you too.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me. My results were minimal and inconsistent. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands and design a plan that worked for me.
I combined my love for fruits and vegetables with a juice diet plan I could stick to, and I made a promise to myself to stay consistent for two weeks. The results? Life-changing.
The Juice Diet Formula That Worked for Me
Here’s the juice recipe that helped me lose 10 pounds in just two weeks. The great thing about it is that it’s flexible—you can mix and match ingredients based on your taste and what’s available.
Breakfast
- 2 apples
- 1 orange
- 4 kale leaves
- 1 cucumber
- 1 lemon
- 1 cup blueberries
This combination is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber. It gave me a refreshing and energizing start to the day, keeping me full and focused until lunchtime.
Lunch
- 1 small beetroot
- 2 carrots
- 1 red apple
- 1 green apple
- 1 yellow apple
- ½ lemon (peeled)
The mix of beets and apples not only tasted great but also provided a natural sweetness and an energy boost to power through the afternoon.
Dinner
- 2 apples
- 4 kale leaves
- 2 cups spinach
- 2 celery stalks
- 1 carrot
- ¼ lemon (peeled)
This dinner juice was packed with greens, which helped detoxify my body and keep me feeling light and clean before bedtime.
Tips for Success
1. Substitute Smartly
If you don’t like kale or it’s unavailable, replace it with spinach, broccoli, or another leafy green vegetable. The idea is to make the diet sustainable and enjoyable, so find alternatives that work for you without compromising on nutrition.
2. Stay Hydrated
Drinking plenty of water is essential for flushing out toxins and staying hydrated. I made it a habit to sip water throughout the day and drink a large glass before each meal to curb cravings.
3. Start Your Day Right
Each morning, I began my day with a warm glass of water mixed with freshly squeezed lemon juice. This simple habit jumpstarted my digestion, boosted my metabolism, and set the tone for a productive day.
4. Prepare for Challenges
The first two to four days were the hardest. I experienced headaches and strong cravings, but I stayed focused by reminding myself of my goal. I kept extra juice on hand to satisfy hunger pangs and prevent myself from reaching for unhealthy snacks.
5. Consume Fresh Juices
Freshly made juices retain the most nutrients and taste better. I made my juices in the morning and stored them in airtight containers if I needed to take them on the go.
Drinking them immediately was ideal, but refrigeration kept them fresh for a few hours.
6. Add Variety to Your Juices
I experimented with different fruits and vegetables to keep things interesting. Adding ginger, mint, or a pinch of cinnamon occasionally gave my juices an extra kick.
7. Exercise Lightly
Although my focus was on the juice diet, I made it a point to stay active. I went for 20-minute walks daily, which helped improve my mood and made the weight loss process more enjoyable.
Beyond the Two Weeks
When the two weeks ended, I felt lighter—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.
I realized that weight loss isn’t just about looking good; it’s about feeling good in your own skin. The juice diet gave me a clean slate and renewed energy to tackle life with confidence.
I made a firm decision to never go back to my unhealthy eating habits. I still indulge occasionally (because life is meant to be enjoyed!), but I always return to the principles that worked for me—balance, consistency, and mindfulness.
Will This Work for You?
This juice diet worked wonders for me, and I believe it can work for you too. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, detox, or simply reboot your system, this plan is a great place to start.
Remember, the key is consistency and finding what feels sustainable for your lifestyle.

Very well written article, with lots of useful information.
I never had an issue with regards to my weight, however, I have friends and some family members who are struggling to lose weight. I believe they have tried almost everything and anything they can possibly think of in order to stay fit but no matter how successful they are at losing those extra pounds, they always end up gaining them back, and more.
The 14-day juice fast could be the answer they’ve been looking for so I’m glad to have read your article. I will be recommending this diet formula to them and I hope it will work for them the same way that it worked for you.
Thank you for sharing your story.
Thanks for reading my article and I hope this diet formula will work for your friends and family members who are having problems with their weight. I love this because it does not only guarantee to help lose weight but more importantly it will also cleanse and detox your body.
Hi Alice,
Great post. I often juice fast. I usually do 3 to 7 days at the start of each season with nice fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables. I do it more for the healing qualities of a fast than losing weight. I healed myself from cancer around 5 years ago through natural means and fasting was a huge part of that.
The lunchtime juice you have there is known as Cabala juice C = for the carrots A = for the 3 apples B = beetroot and L = lemon. I actually have the lemon whole as long as its organic or has been washed in Apple Cider Vinegar. The peel contains the most nutrients.
I am starting a 14 day fast tomorrow actually. With juice water and a thing called Pulse. Look up Don Tolman to see what pulse is but its basically an ancient meal of chopped up fruit and nuts. Only 200 grams a day. Really good stuff. Thanks for a great post and well done on losing 10 pounds, but more importantly looking after your health!
Kev
Hey Kevin,
Glad to know you enjoy going on a juice fast. Most people find it really difficult to give up their favorite foods even for just a week or two. Isn’t it amazing that you were able to beat cancer naturally with a juice fast! This is because juice diet, juice fast, juice cleanse or whatever we wanna call it, is a great way of cleansing our body from toxins and other chemicals that got in there mainly through the foods that we put into our mouth and the pollutants we contract everyday.
Now that you mentioned it, yeah, CABALA juice is how other people call that lunch time recipe. And I prefer organic fruits too because they are healthier and safer for consumption.
Enjoy your 14-day fast and I hope you will get the results you are expecting. Staying healthy is something that we all should strive for because health is wealth.
Cheers to taking care of our health!
It’s good to see that you were able to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks. That is really pretty impressive! I have heard that in the beginning, you lose weight quickly when you start dieting and working out more. Have you ever heard that it gets hard to maintain weight loss after that?
I’ve never heard of the fruit cleansing diet, though. But, correct me if I am wrong, but aren’t fruits loaded with carbs? I have found that just cutting out the carbs really does make me irritable, though. Have you ever experienced irritability from cutting out carbs?
Losing weight is a challenge but keeping off the unwanted pounds and maintaining your weight can be a lot tougher. I’ve read stories of how fat people have lost weight pretty quick but were also pretty quick to gain them back plus a lot more, which is really sad. It’s like winning the lottery, living like a millionaire for a day or two and then back to being a beggar.
I believe it all comes down to mindset. If you are really determined to lose those extra pounds and keep them off even after your weight loss journey, you will come out victorious and successful. You also need to have a totally different lifestyle and not revert back to your old eating habits.
Fruits maybe high in sugar and carbs but they are natural and healthy so this is not really an issue. It could be a bit hard not being able to have your favorite cereals for breakfast and chicken sandwiches for lunch or dinner. But remember, this juice diet lasts only for 2 weeks and before that, your body would have already adjusted to this.
I love carbs and I know I can’t survive a day without them. However, I chose to sacrifice two weeks without my favorite meals in exchange for a healthier and happier me. After coming out of the 14-day juice diet, it is important to stay focused on maintaining your ideal weight by eating a healthy, balanced meal and staying active.
I’m inspired by your dedication and perseverance! Loosing weight is not easy, and takes a lot of trial and error to find the sweet spot to maintaining a healthy weight. I love juicing, and have a tendency to do it more in the summer. In order for me to sustain this more healthy diet, however, I have to throw in some protein or I get too hungry lol.
Hi Sarah,
You have no idea how much I struggled during the first 3 days or so of the juice diet. I was tempted to give up especially every time I saw my bosses enjoy delicious meals. But I was determined to leave Bangkok a totally different person, I mean in SHAPE and SIZE.
You’re right, not every diet formula would work for everyone. We need to find the one that we find effective and stay on it. I believe it all comes down to how much we really want to lose weight to stay fit and healthy.
Today, I only juice once a week, sometimes twice. I am happy to say that I have maintained my weight and although I try to always eat a healthy, balanced meal, I also satisfy my cravings for sweets and chips once in a while.
Hi, this is an interesting story. I am thinking of doing a detox diet once and again. The juice diet sounds quite tasty and I think I will be able to stay strong doing that.
I did not get that right maybe but in this juice diet is no Herbal life involved?
Thanks!
Hi Stefan,
I highly recommend this diet to anyone who does not only want to lose weight to stay fit and healthy but also to cleanse and detox their body. This juice diet definitely does the hard work of cleansing your entire digestive system and will help to boost your mental health.
And yes, the juice diet tastes really great, it’s natural sugar so it’s healthy and can give you the necessary nutrients needed to sustain your health. However, I do not recommend going beyond 2 weeks or 14 days because our body needs other essential nutrients too that are not found in the ingredients of the juice diet.
Before going on the two-week juice diet, I was on Herbal Life meal replacement. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the result that’s why I decided to try something else. I’m not saying that Herbal Life does not work. As a matter of fact it is quiet effective if you are underweight and want to add some pounds because it works really well as food supplement. But as a way of losing weight, I do not really recommend it.
Really appreciate your article. I’ve struggled and spent alot of money to lose the cranky 10 pounds too many times in my life over my 56 years! I love your juice recommendations as juicing is the only thing I’ve done that has allowed my weight loss to be permanent. Any time I feel a few pounds creeping on, I can go back to a 3 day juice fast and be back on track.
Hey Dana,
It really is a struggle to lose weight but we just have to find the right formula that works for us. Having lost 10 pounds in two weeks by going on a juice fast, I am confident that this is one of the healthiest and most effective way to do it.
But the question most frequently asked is how to make weight loss permanent because let’s face it, it’s pretty easy to gain back those pounds. Like you, whenever I feel like I’m getting heavy, I just go on a 2-3 day juice fast.
However, I believe that best way to maintain your ideal weight is by eating a healthy, balanced diet and being physically active.
Thanks for stopping by Dana.
Good job at losing the pounds. My question to you is that can you eat any meals while on the juice diet? I am wondering if you are pretty much relying on the juice drinks to sustain your appetite. And If so is there an eating plan you recommend. Thanks.
Hello Ronnie, thanks for your comment.
So glad to have lost those unwanted pounds. I must admit, I struggled a bit during the first 2-4 days because it was hard not being able to eat anything solid. But rest assured, the cravings will gradually cease once you get past the first 7 days.
This diet highly recommends not taking any solid foods during its entire duration because it does not only aim to lose weight but more importantly, to cleanse and detox. So yeah, I only relied on the juice drinks!
Basically, what I did was start off each day with a glass of warm lemon water. After an hour or so I’ll have 1 glass of juice followed by a glass of water. I’d drink juice every time I feel hungry and start to crave for something else. One good thing about this diet is that there is no maximum, no limit. You can drink as much as you want.
It also helped that we were on vacation when I took on this challenge so I did not have to do my normal routine works. I highly recommend you do this juice diet formula when you’re on vacation or if your job does not require you to do a lot of movements.
